Dj Mario Afonso – Born in 1951, in Paulo Afonso city, State of Bahia. Son of Rafael and Arnaldina. He spent his childhood in Camamu city, where he lived in full harmony with nature. He moved to Rio de Janeiro with his family when he was 12. His family, consisting of musicians, made him to be in contact with music since his childhood. When he was a child his dream was to become an electrical engineer, but he had to work early since he comes from a humble family. When he was teen, went through several jobs that his age allowed until he went to graph world, where he worked in the field of planning and production control, forming several professionals before retiring. He has three children and three grandchildren, whose are his major proud. When retired, he saw the opportunity of devoting himself to his passion: music. Dj Mario Afonso is eclectic, with special interest in electronic music and ‘forró’. He has a book of poetry titled I, You, We Both, which he expects to edit soon and another one of stories, he is writing. Dj Mario Afonso is a record producer, author, musician, poet and has photography as a hobby. Currently he has two albums and is committed to new works. He admires art, beauty, life.
